The Bethard Group is the name and operation behind the growing brand known simply as Bethard. What's interesting about this group and brand is that it is fronted almost entirely by the popular and now retired, Swedish footballer, Zlatan Imbrahimovich.
Bethard Group Formation
Founded in 2012 by Erik Skarp, the Bethard Group initially launched three commercially facing casino brands focused on Sweden and Finland, before eventually acquiring the Bethard.com domain in 2014.
In-House Software
In 2015, the group launched a software arm called "Together Gaming" which aims to provide back-office tools, reporting systems, and gaming platform integrated with other major suppliers. Seemingly it is this software foundation that the group has been formed around. This was evidenced a year later when all of the player facing brands were migrated onto the in-house technology developed by Together Gaming.
Zlatan Effect
Bethard sportsbook and casino in its current form was launched officially in 2016 and just recently in 2018, Zlatan was named as the official figurehead for the brand as an ambassador. Since then the brands has seen major coverage across all forms of media turning them into a rising start of the sports betting and casino industry.
