Blood Suckers is an iconic NetEnt slot and one can safely declare it one of the most popular slot games of all times. Once you read the name of this game it is not difficult to realise what is the slot’s theme – vampires of course, they are the ones who suck blood.
The original Blood Suckers has been around for more than three years before NetEnt released its sequel. And Blood Suckers II matched the success of its predecessor, in fact, it can even be said that it expanded on it and managed to become even more popular. The game follows the familiar theme and includes many similar elements, but it also includes a range of novelties and new features that make it even more exciting and playable.
This game tells the tale of a young vampire-girl called Amilia. Her goal is to find the hidden treasures that her ancestors left in a castle. The sound effects are pretty similar to the ones of the first game, but it has to be said that the music is much more refined and sophisticated in a way. When it comes to graphics and all visual elements, the progress is also pretty evident.
You will notice Amilia, she is on the left of the reels, holding her famous crossbow. The figure is animated, she occasionally aims her crossbow at you, but she does that very graciously. She also moves after every win regardless of the combination and the amount that you have won.
The outline is pretty standard here, there are 5 reels and 3 rows. The number of paylines is 25, pretty basic stuff. In order to complete a payline you must get 3 connected symbols from the leftmost to the rightmost reel, across a valid payline. There’s no option of wagering only on certain paylines, all 25 of them are always active. You may place as little as 1p per payline which sets the total minimum per spin at just 25p, whereas the maximum stake is £10 per line, a total of £250.
The buttons are pretty much the same as they are in most other NetEnt games that have been released in the past few years. You can adjust your stake using the ‘coin value’ and ‘level’ buttons, and there is also the option of autospin. If you like to wager the full amount of money, just click on ‘max bet’.
The symbols are divided between low win and medium win symbols, but there is also a scatter, as well as a wild symbol and a number of random symbols which pay more than the medium win symbols.
The low win symbols include all standard card suits, but their shape and design are in complete accordance with the theme. With low win symbols you can win 150 coins at most, for a combination of 5, whereas with 3 low win symbols you will win a prize of either 2 or 3 coins depending on the particular suit.
Medium win symbols pay significantly more. You have 4 different vampire characters all of whom come from the past. The lady, the scary-looking creature and the young blond vampire-gentleman all have equal payouts, 10 coins for 3 symbols, 75 for 4 symbols and 200 for 5 symbols, whereas the Dracula figure pays a bit more – 500 for 5, 150 for 4 and 50 for a combo of 3 symbols.
In addition there’s also a wild symbol and a scatter. Each has the respective word written over it, which makes them easy to spot. The wild symbol substitutes all symbols bar the scatter and the other bonus symbols. These symbols pay a lot more than the usual symbols, plus you get something even if there are just two scatters or wild symbols across a payline.
For 2 scatters you will get 50 coins, whereas for 2 wild symbols the payout is just 5. On the other hand, the payouts for 3, 4 and 5 wild symbols are higher than the payouts for 3, 4 and 5 scatters. With 5 wild symbols you will get the highest prize in this game – 10,000 coins
The RTP of this game is just short of 97% (96.94%). That is a pretty impressive percentage and one more reason for players to enjoy Blood Suckers II. Sure there are few games with higher RTP percentages, but this percentage puts Blood Suckers II pretty high on the list.
This game has both standard and random bonus features. The Scatter Shot is a random bonus feature which when activated, adds one extra scatter symbol, which in turn can activate 10 Blood Rose Free Spins where all medium win symbols on the reels will reward you with a prize between 10 and 100 times your bet.
The Bonus Shot feature is another randomly triggered bonus and this one adds one extra overlay bonus symbol either on the first, second or third reel.
If you get more than 3 scatters anywhere on the reels, then you will activate the 10 Blood Rose Free Spins bonus. If during the bonus rounds you get 3 or more scatters once again, then you will be rewarded with 10 more spins. During this bonus all wins, including scatter wins are multiplied by 3, whereas free spins are played at the same stake level as the original spin.
If you get at least 3 bonus symbols on consecutive reels, you will activate the Hidden Treasure bonus. If this feature is activated by 4 symbols then all your wins in the bonus game will be doubled, and if you’re lucky enough to hit 5 symbols then your wins will be tripled.
In this game you get to pick treasure chests and coffins and get more coin wins and additional symbols, like the scatter symbol, the key symbol or the demon symbol. If you get a demon, then your game will end, but with the key symbol you will be taken to the next level. If you get the key at the last level then you will be awarded with a prize worth 1,000 your stake. In this game scatters are collected and if you manage to collect 3 you will get 10 free spins, just like in the main game.
If you like spooky vampire-themed games then you will definitely love this one, especially because it features some great bonus games and random features which make things a lot more interesting. Your main aim should be reaching the Hidden Treasure castle, because that’s where the big money lays. Definitely meets the standards set by its predecessor.
