Gold Lab Slot Review
For thousands of years, people have been trying to figure out how to make gold through alchemy. And the wild scientist in Quickspin’s Gold Lab has somehow succeeded where others have failed.
This 5-reel, 25-payline online slot sees you mix chemicals in hopes of creating pure gold. Let’s discuss if this game is pure gold by looking at its atmosphere, betting options, features, and return to player (RTP).
Gold Lab Slot Details
Gold Lab takes you into a sleek laboratory, where you’ll find gold steps, the scientist, gears, and pipes. The reels are the center of the scientist’s gold-making machine, which adds an interesting touch to this slot.
Symbols include a golden wild, different-colored beakers, and five different gems. The potions go into the scientist’s machine to make the gold wild symbol, but we don’t know how the gems fit into this story. For the most part, all of these symbols are generic and don’t add much to the game.
The 25 paylines are fixed, and you can change your total bet from €0.25 to €100.00. This game also features an Autoplay option that allows you to automatically spin the reels for between 10 and 1,000 spins.
Gold Lab Slot Features
Gold Lab only has one bonus, which is triggered by landing 3 or more Golden Bonus scatter symbols anywhere on the reels.
This gives you four re-spins, where each of the four beakers turn into golden wilds and helps you form more wins.
Once again, the Golden Bonus is the only feature that you can trigger in Gold Lab, which is a huge drawback to this game.
Gold Lab Slot Payout (RTP%)
RTP for Gold Lab is 96.06%, which is above average for an online slot.
Overall, Gold Lab’s graphics are clean, and we like the machine/lab background. But we don’t think that the solid graphics, interesting background, and unique theme are enough motivation to play this game. The lack of bonus features is what really turns us off from wanting to spend much time with Gold Lab. It doesn’t help that we’ve seen far more-entertaining online slots from Quickspin.
This isn’t to say that you absolutely should avoid Gold Lab. But you’re not going to miss much by skipping over this game and looking for other Quickspin titles.
